Individual psychotherapy in the DC area

Psychotherapy

I work with diverse adults 18 and older on a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, career and academic challenges, trauma, eating and body image issues, infertility/perinatal health, and grief/loss.

Therapy is a collaborative relationship of curiosity, and I believe in creating a warm, non-judgmental and engaging environment to understand clients’ unique goals, strengths, and challenges. My integrative therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic, while incorporating cognitive behavioral and mindfulness modalities. I consider it a privilege to walk with my clients through the ups and downs of their daily lives, challenge them, and help them grow and thrive in the long term.

About Me

After receiving my Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland, I worked as a therapist at The Women’s Center, M&K Counseling Associates, and Betsy Mencher, Ph.D, LLC. I earned additional degrees from Georgetown University and Saint Joseph’s University, and advanced perinatal psychotherapy training from Postpartum Support International. Previously, I worked at the Department of Justice for eight years, which helps me understand my clients’ work/life balance challenges. I live in Maryland with my husband and two children.

Office Location

Currently, I see virtual clients who are located in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
